What is an Allocation

An allocation is some finite number of "service units" that determines how much computational time a user is allowed to use on LONI's resource.

It is a requirement that a user must have a valid user account in order to get an allocation. Please see Requesting a LONI Account.

Getting an Allocation

In order to run a batch job, a user requires an allocation of service units (SUs). To request, manage, or join an allocation, please visit the LONI allocations request page once you have received confirmation that your account has been set up.

Login with your LONI username and password. Fill out the form, then wait for any further instructions.

In addition to getting a personal allocation, users are eligible to join existing allocations.
