Matlab is a high-level language for technical computing.

Matlab is a product of Mathworks.

For online documentation, see: TechDocs

For sites that have a matlab license, the following script can be used for submitting matlab jobs (assume it is named "matlab.pbs" ):

#!/bin/bash
#PBS -q single
#PBS -A CHANGE_TO_YOUR_ALLOCATION
#PBS -l nodes=1:ppn=4
#PBS -l walltime=HH:MM:SS
#PBS -o myoutput
#PBS -j oe
#PBS -N MATLAB_JOB

cd /path/to/your/matlab/files
matlab -nodisplay -nojvm -nosplash -r matlab_cmd

The script is then submitted to PBS as so:

$ qsub matlab.pbs

matlab_cmd can be the name of a Matlab function, or a command string as you would type interactively. For instance you could add a path name to Matlab's internal path and run fname.m like so:

matlab -nodisplay -nojvm -nosplash -r "addpath /my/custom/path; fname"

Note: LONI and HPC@LSU do not support parallel Matlab due to license issues.

Users may direct questions to sys-help@loni.org.
